JULY ROUND UP

So another busy month for WINNS!

IMPROVING VALUE FOR CLIENTS & STAFF

EFFECTIVENESS OF WINNS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WINNS are currently in the process of self-evaluating the effectiveness of the Board of Directors with the intent of providing optimum support, innovation and service for both its clients and employees.  We have written a blog to explain the criteria upon which we are evaluating ourselves together with a template for other companies wishing to do the same.

INNOVATION

Health and Safety are of paramount importance in the workplace.  Whether employees and managers are based in an office or project sites, WINNS recognises its fundamental duty to provide an environment where health and safety risks are actively controlled.

WINNS recognised that not only did site-held paper H&S literature often become mislaid/damaged requiring constant replacement but updating information was time-consuming and costly for the client, company and, importantly for the environment.

WINNS formed an innovative and committed committee dedicated to understanding how best to communicate with a geographical workforce.  It was agreed that a web-based and QR-coded APP would be the best way.  WINNS then partnered with 07 Heaven Design to help design and deliver the solution in an APP form.

The APP will hold all health and safety data needed to operate a site safely:

  • COSHH Assessments
  • Risk Assessments
  • Task Cards
  • Manuals
  • Safety Data Sheets
  • Observation/Close call/Accident Reporting
  • WINNS Policies
  • Monthly Newsletters

The cleaning APP team are striving to make safety "simpler" so we can be a positive force for everyday workplace safety and assistance for people who care.

PRAISE

Callum at Bird College passed on his praise for WINNS employee, Mark for his efforts last week,

"just thought I'd show you Mark, literally on his hands, knees and commando roll position scrubbing the perimeter of the studio's deep cleaning'.

Thank you Mark for going to all lengths to ensure quality.

Our staff were also praised by one of CRSA's Senior Engineers on site at Peniston,

'Myself and Steve Burkin (HSE Advisor) also visited the site on Saturday and raised positive feedback about the job that Emmanuel was doing.

His efforts were to a fantastically high standard and I thanked him personally'.

Once again, thank you for demonstrating the quality of our staff.  Often our clients aren't on site during our employees shifts and therefore aren't physically present to see the high level of service they consistently provide so it is great when one of their stakeholders brings attention to it.

100% NPS - WINNS is really proud to record a 100% on its Net Promotor Score - this score registers whether our clients would recommend us to a friend or colleague.  It would seem that all our efforts to create value for our clients are paying off.  However, what it doesn't mean is that we can sit on our laurels.

OUTSTANDING SPORTING TRIUMPHS

WINNS would like to join the whole of GB in congratulating our Lionesses for bringing it home 🦁⚽️  Interest and recognition of women's football has increased exponentially over the last few years and deservedly too!  Our own, Rachael Agombar, Operations Directors, a dedicated football player herself, was lucky enough to view their success on Sunday 31st July.  Glad to see she remained calm 😂

The second outstanding sporting triumph in July was the increased integration of The Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022.  This is the only major international multi-sport event that integrates Para sport and non-Para events.  The 2022 Commonwealth Games will have the highest representation of para sports of any Commonwealth Games, with a program that sees para-athletes compete across eight sports and 42 events.

COMPANY TARGETS

Whilst WINNS employees achieved all their Company Targets for the quarter, we can't say the same for all their personal targets.  Weight being the major failure.  Sorry guys, in order to support everyone in their endeavours, Karen will no longer be enabling them with her cakes and treats.  Healthy eating is now the order of the day!!!  They only have themselves to blame 😂
