On the 5th November 2020, the UK is poised to enter its second period of national restrictions due to the Coronavirus – Lockdown 2.0. Although not popular with many, this second national lockdown is vital in helping control the spread of the virus and minimise the number of deaths across the UK due to COVID-19.

We wanted to explore the success of a networking organisation that helps connect like-minded individuals within the property industry, specifically the Built and FM environments, and the positive impact they have consequently had on the industry.

Since Boris Johnson announced the lockdown measures across the UK on March 23rd, 2020, life as we knew it has been majorly changed. As a nation, we have been asked to stay in doors as much as possible, isolate from our family and friends and even stop visiting gyms and restaurants, ultimately all to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

The recent school year has been majorly disrupted due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. Facilities were closed to stop the spread of the Coronavirus and subsequently exams were cancelled. In September, schools are planned to reopen for the new school year, however, how will we make schools safe for students with the threat of COVID-19 still likely to be there?

The government has recently started releasing an exit plan to help transition the UK out of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the lifting of restrictions, it is likely that employers will look to begin a phased return to work after lockdown.
