THE WINNS HEALTH AND SAFETY CLEANING APP
Health and Safety are of paramount importance in the workplace. Whether employees and managers are based in an office or project sites, WINNS recognises its fundamental duty to provide an environment where health and safety risks are actively controlled.
A survey conducted by the HSE found that UK-based businesses were more likely to possess documented policies and documents and also undertake regular H&S checks compared to other EU countries and WINNS is not the exception.
Whilst historically, WINNS conducts monthly H&S checks on all its sites, senior management has become increasingly aware of the need to further mitigate potential H&S risks;

In addition, WINNS recognised that not only did site-held paper H&S literature often become mislaid/damaged requiring constant replacement but updating information was time-consuming and costly for the client, company and, importantly, for the environment.
WINNS formed an innovative & committed committee dedicated to understanding how best to communicate with a geographical workforce. It was agreed that a web-based and QR-coded APP would be the best way. WINNS then partnered with 07 Heaven Design to help design and deliver the solution in an APP form.

IMPROVE EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
Replacing the historically paper-based H&S file with an interactive APP and communication solution and including employee knowledge of access and retrieval in our site audit inspection to ensure familiarity with access.
MAINTAIN A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Induction training, refresher training and intervention training of all employees will be directed towards the H&S APP and managers will ensure that monthly site audit checks will inform of any updates needed to the APP presented by changing circumstances which will be communicated to the Committee.
CREATE HEALTH AND SAFETY KNOWLEDGE BASE
The APP will hold all Health and Safety data needed to operate a site safely;
