AUGUST COMPANY ROUND UP

Where did August go?  I feel as though we have blinked and the Summer is coming to a close, with Autumn just around the corner. 

 

CLOSURE CLEANS  

It's been a busy month here at WINNS.  We have been carrying out a lot of closure cleans ahead of the new academic year.  Keri, our Office Manager, visited one of our sites, Beauchamps High School, to see how they were getting on with the strip and seal and deep clean of classrooms.  Keri started off her WINNS career as a cleaner at Beauchamps and remembers those closure cleans all too well.

PRAISE

It's great to receive praise from our clients for our staff.

Callum from Bird College passed on his praise for Mark for his efforts last week during the closure clean.

"Just thought I'd show you Mark, literally on his hands, knees in commando roll position scrubbing the perimeter of the studio's floor whilst deep cleaning".

Thank you Mark for going to all lengths to ensure quality.

We also received praise from one of CRSA's Senior Engineers on site at Peniston.

"Myself and Steve Burkin (HSE Advisor) visited the site on Saturday and received positive feedback about the job that Emmanuel was doing.

His efforts were to a fantastically high standard and I thanked him personally".

Once again, thank you for demonstrating the quality of our staff.  Often our clients aren't on site during our frontline staff's shifts and therefore aren't present to see the high level of service our teams consistently provide so it is great when one of their stakeholders brings attention to it.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Karen, our Company Chair, achieved her first certificate for her MBA, 'Managing in a Changing World'.  Well done Karen, only another 5 to go 😱.  Having Karen share her knowledge as she gains it ensures that WINNS operates at the best level it can for the planet, clients and employees as well ensuring the sustainability of WINNS as a company.

 

NEW BUSINESS ON THE HORIZON

WINNS Services are proud to announce we start a new contract on Monday 5th September for Chandos Property Management Ltd in London.  We will be supplying a concierge service.  We look forward to working with them and providing our quality service.

CHARITY 

WINNS are always actively encouraging our staff to promote awareness for good causes and so this month the ladies of the Office have decided to sign up to Shine Nigh Walk on 24th September for cancer research.  Shine Night Walk is an illuminating night-time walk passing some of the city's famous landmarks.  For one night, the streets are ours.  Stride by stride we will make our way through the lights of the city and get closer to beating cancer.

FEEDBACK

Currently our clients all provide monthly feedback on the quality of our service provision and we are proud to have a 100% NPS.  WINNS also constantly asks its staff for feedback on what they feel WINNS should STOP, START and KEEP doing?  This month we will be extending this to all our clients as well.

 

DIRECTOR'S SERVICE STANDARDS AUDIT 

This year Chris, our Special Operations Director has volunteered to visit everyone of our sites and conduct the annual Director's standards audit.  Not only does this audit ensure that all Account Managers are auditing to the same standards, it allows our frontline staff to discuss anything that they may feel they cannot discuss with their line manager.  Chris will be taking this opportunity to distribute all the new water bottles and undertake a staff pay survey.  3 birds with one stone  - who said men can't multi-task?

WHOLE COMPANY QUARTERLY TARGETS

Whilst Head Office staff achieved all their Company Targets for the quarter, we can't say the same for all their personal targets.  Weight being the major failure.  In order to support everyone in their endeavours, Karen will no longer be enabling them with her cakes and treats.  Healthy eating is now the order of the day!!  They only have themselves to blame 😂

MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING

WINNS is dedicated to increasing its knowledge within the industry in order to improve our service and the welfare of our staff.  This is an area that WINNS are passionate about.  We take the welfare of our staff seriously and are in the process of training all Managers to become Mental Health First Aiders.
