On behalf of WINNS Services, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the late Queen Elizabeth II, for a lifetime of service to her country.  An inspirational woman, working up until her final days.

PRAISE

It's great to receive praise from our clients and we'd love to pass on all positivity.

Our clients at Writtle College, were really pleased with the periodic window clean that they had carried out over the summer in preparation for the return of the students in September:

"Good morning

Firstly and most importantly, I cannot praise these two guys for doing the window cleaning enough, they are so thoughtful, helpful and are communicating well with me as well as doing a perfect job.  Please pass on my massive personal thanks and gratitude.  Excellent workers."

"Just wanted to say what a fantastic job the window cleaner is doing.  The windows have never been so sparkly!!!  Makes me very happy lol :)

Kind regards,

Jo"

We also received praise from Achilles;

Good afternoon Rachael,

"Steve has provided me with your details as someone who may be able to assist.  We have received good feedback from Achilles regarding the work and improvements undertaken by WINNS in recent months, and as such, Achilles are happy to renew with Acorn for the next contract year."

VEHICLES

This month WINNS Account Managers have been issued with new vehicles.  We try to renew the company vehicles every three years in order to keep emissions low - eventually we aim for all vehicles to be electric and reduce our carbo footprint.

Look out in next month's issue for the wrapping of the vehicles!

NEW BUSINESS ON THE HORIZON

WINNS Services are proud to announce we carried out a deep clean for the dance group Diversity, at a local church in Westcliff, which they are currently renovating.  It's nice to see them using local businesses in their new venture!  Following on from the praise we received from the builder's clean, we are hoping to be considered for the daily cleaning contract, so watch this space!!!!!

CHARITY

The ladies in the Office, Karen, Shanel and Keri completed the 10k Shine Night Walk for Cancer Research on Saturday 24th September.  The ladies had a great time walking around the streets of London and helping to make a difference and fight this horrid disease.

I have it on good authority that the ladies plan the walk again next year and potentially tackle the full marathon!  if you would like to join us next year, please contact Keri Barfoot at Head Office and she will be able to assist you on signing up!  We have pledged to have 20 walkers next year and raise £2,000!

If you are involved or raising money for charity, please let us know we would love to help your causes and promote it through our newsletters.

FEEDBACK

During September, Chris Stebbing, Operations Director, visited every site to undertake the annual Directors audits of sites.  Whilst conducting the audits, he took the time to find out from our staff what we should STOP,START AND KEEP DOING and how far the Company's core values represented their lives experience?  All responses are being collated and shared in preparation of the whole staff quarterly meeting where they will be addressed.

Chris also took the opportunity to deliver the water bottles ordered for our frontline operatives in order to encourage staying hydrated.

ENERGY CRISIS

We are acutely aware that the energy crisis will have a negative impact on the economies of many of our clients and we are therefore working hard behind the scenes to consider economies of scale, innovative ways of working and cost saving measures for all our current clients for all our current clients.  If you are feeling the pinch, please get in touch and we can work together to ensure you get the best from our service at a sustainable price.

Having said that, we also appreciate that now more that ever is the time to take care of what you have and therefore keeping carpets, furnishings and buildings in tip top condition is imperative for the longevity of your items and aesthetics.

MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING

WINNS is dedicated to increasing its knowledge within the industry in order to improve our service and the welfare of our staff.  As mentioned last month, this is an area that WINNS are passionate about.  we take the welfare of our staff seriously and are in the process of training all Managers to become Mental Health First Aiders.

"To protect my mental health I play pool and alot of walking in the park". Luigi, Tevva

"To protect my mental health I try to exercise as much as possible" Elizania Dabo, Summit Partners

"I spend quality time with the family and socialise with friends.  I think the Company could have a Mental Health Training and Awareness day." Daniel Hunt, Head Office.  (All in the pipeline Dan)

"To protect my mental health, I secure enough rest for my myself and ensure I drink sufficient quantities of water.  The company could educate & sensitise staff through post & via emailed help highlight the importance of mental health." Raymond Sskandi, Fielders Quarters (Raymond's suggestion has been taken up by WINNS)
