HELPING TO DRIVE WINNS SERVICES FORWARD SUSTAINABLY

Standards and accreditations can affect an organisation's quality, lead time, supply chain management and costs.  They make it easier and promote competition, having a positive impact on WINNS growth and development and sustainability for the future.

Standards impact the lives of everyone.  They help WINNS Services to mitigate risk and grow in a sustainable way, they also give our consumers the assurance they are getting products and services of the highest quality and they enable and simplify communication and partnerships whilst allowing resources to be used more efficiently.

Business accreditation is the process of getting your business assessed and evaluated by a UKAS accreditation body, e.g. ISO 9001:2015 Standards, as a method of reviewing your businesses' processes and levels of service.

The Accreditation Audit system drives WINNS to maintain accurate records and provides a means by which we are reminded of responsibilities related to the audit process.  The audit further serves as the basis for the accreditation listing of WINNS by accreditation bodies.

RENEWAL AUDIT

A renewal audit describes an audit conducted at the end of a certification cycle before the accreditation expires.  The aim is to verify compliance with the requirements applicable at the time, and to determine whether accreditation can be renewed.

This is all tied together in WINNS Services Vision Statement:

FAIR - INCLUSIVE - RESPECTFUL - INNOVATIVE - TRANSPARENT

STANDARDS AND ACCREDITATION'S HELP WINNS BY:

COST EFFECTIVE

Being cost effective is something that is good value, where the benefits and usage are worth at least what is paid for them.

EFFICIENCY

Efficiency is defined as the system using the smallest amount of input to produce the highest amount of output.  Working efficiently results in a higher produced volume from the same amount of resource input.

MITIGATING RISKS

Risk mitigation is a strategy to prepare for and lessen the effects of threats faced by a business.  Comparable to risk reduction, risk mitigation takes steps to reduce the negative effects of threats and disasters on business continuity.

CONSISTENCY

Being consistent in business builds trust and improves efficiency.  Consistency is important, especially in challenging times when people want certainty and reassurance.  Your business plan will define your purpose, vision, goals and strategies to achieve those goals.

CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE

Customer confidence is the degree to which a business to business customer feels confident they have taken the necessary steps to make the right decisions for a complex purchase.  High customer confidence results in a high quality, low regret purchase.

UNIFORMITY

Uniformity within any organisation reflects a professional, tangible, and valued company image.  This helps fortify a sense of pride and motivation within a company, but also promotes a company quality ethos that can be recognised by customers and other prospective partnerships.

ELIMINATE BARRIERS

Overcoming barriers to success involves assessing the situation, consulting experts, considering alternatives and taking action.

Barriers are categorised into four main areas:

  • Legal - Are we allowed to do it?
  • Technical - Can we do it?
  • Strategic - How we will do it?
  • Brand loyalty - Demonstrates a better way of doing it
